Opus Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-03-14
Overview
Cyberic Limited operates Opus, which provides AI-generated introductions about music content. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Process
1. Music Metadata You Provide
When you use Opus generation features, the app may send music-related metadata to our backend, including fields such as:
- title
- performer
- album (optional)
- composer (optional)
- movement (optional)
- track/work names and selected intro level
- preferred locales for localization
We use this information to generate and localize music introductions.
2. Device and Service Security Data
To protect our services and prevent abuse, we may process:
- device attestation and device token data
- request identifiers and technical logs
- subscription and entitlement status data needed to verify access to paid features
- usage linkage data needed to enforce service limits and subscription entitlements, including associations between subscription identifiers or entitlement records and verified device identifiers, together with related access timestamps
3. Optional Music-Service Integration Data
If you connect a supported third-party music service, such as Spotify, we may process authentication or session data needed to enable that integration and maintain your connected session.
For example, to support Spotify connectivity, the app and our backend may process OAuth tokens needed to complete token exchange and token refresh flows. We do not use this integration to build a separate server-side profile of your Spotify listening history for marketing purposes.
4. Analytics, Crash, and Website Usage Data
The app uses Firebase services (including analytics/crash reporting) to collect diagnostic and usage signals, such as:
- app crashes and stability events
- feature usage and interaction events
- subscription and purchase-related analytics events
- technical app/device context needed for analytics
We use this data to monitor reliability, understand product usage, and improve the user experience.
The Opus website uses Google Analytics to understand website traffic and usage, such as page views, referral/source information, approximate location, and device/browser signals.
5. Future Feedback Data
Opus may provide in-app feedback features in the future (for the app and generated intros). If you submit feedback, we may process:
- your feedback content
- contextual metadata needed to understand and action the feedback
We use feedback to improve product quality and content quality.
How We Use Information
We process information to:
- deliver AI-generated music introductions
- localize generated content
- secure the service and prevent fraud/abuse
- verify subscriptions, restore entitlements, and enforce access limits
- enable optional third-party music-service integrations
- maintain and improve app performance and reliability
- analyze usage trends and improve product decisions
- process subscriptions and related service operations
Legal Bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process data based on one or more of:
- performance of a contract (providing core app functionality)
- legitimate interests (service security, analytics, product improvement)
- your consent (where required by law)
- compliance with legal obligations
Data Sharing
We may share data with service providers acting on our behalf, such as:
- cloud infrastructure providers
- analytics and crash reporting providers (for example, Firebase and Google Analytics)
- payment/subscription infrastructure providers
- AI and content-generation infrastructure providers
- optional integration providers where you choose to connect those services
We do not sell personal data for money or share personal data with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including service delivery, security, fraud prevention, subscriptions and entitlement management, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping. Different categories of data may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and operational needs.
Some information may also be stored locally on your device, such as cached content, connected-service session data, or device-verification material, until it is refreshed, cleared, or removed with the app.
International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction of processing.
To exercise available rights or submit privacy-related requests, contact: support@cyberic.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
Opus is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required for data processing under applicable local law.
